  2. John Page (April 28, 1743 – October 11, 1808) was a figure in early United States history. He served in the U.S. Congress and as the 13th Governor of Virginia. Page was born and lived at Rosewell Plantation in Gloucester County.

  4. Biographical Information. John Page was born 17 April 1743 at Rosewell in Gloucester County, Virginia, to Mann Page (b. 1718) and Alice Grymes Page (1723-1746). He attended the College of William and Mary. When the American Revolution began, Page raised a regiment from Gloucester County and received a commission of colonel in the army.

  7. JOHN PAGE was born at Rosewell in Gloucester County, Virginia. He graduated from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg in 1763, after which he served as a member of the Colonial Council in the reign of King George III, as President or senior member of the Council of State under Patrick Henry, and as a member of the Virginia Constitutional Convention in 1776.
