Highlights from the life history of Shri Samarth Ramdas Swami. 1608. Birth at Jamb (Dist. Jalna) on the day of Shri Ram Navami. 1613. Samarth's thread ceremony at Jamb. 1616. As a child, Lord Rama gave Darshan, Anugrah and Blessed Shri Samarth. 1620. Twelve-year-old Narayana escaped from his own marriage.
Swami Ramdas is a staunch advocate of the Divine Name. He also insists upon regular Sadhana of self-control and surrender. He himself exemplifies the highest form of surrender. He demonstrates the fact that Para-Bhakti and Jnana are one. The highest Vedanta and the most indescribable love are combined in Ramdas.
