John III ( Swedish: Johan III, Finnish: Juhana III; 20 December 1537 – 17 November 1592) was King of Sweden from 1569 until his death. He was the son of King Gustav I of Sweden and his second wife Margaret Leijonhufvud. He was also, quite autonomously, the Duke of Finland from 1556 to 1563.

Johan III, född 20 december 1537 på Stegeborgs slott, död 17 november 1592 på slottet Tre Kronor i Stockholm, var kung av Sverige 1569–1592 efter att ha tillskansat sig kungamakten genom att hösten 1568 fängsla sin bror Erik XIV och propagera mot honom resten av det året.
Erik Johansson Vasa (c. 1470 – 8 November 1520) was a Swedish noble and the Lord of Rydboholm Castle in Roslagen. His son would rule as King Gustav I of Sweden from 1523–1560.
