This book (Gulamgiri) remains Jyotirao Phule’s most influential publication till date. The title itself suggests Phule’s approach to the subject of Caste. Phule considered caste and caste laws a form of slavery.
Jyotirao Govindrao Phule (11 April 1827 – 28 November 1890) adalah seorang aktivis sosial, pemikir, reformator sosial anti-kasta dan penulis India asal Maharashtra. [2] [3] Karyanya meliputi banyak bidang, yang meliputi penghapusan ketidaktersentuhan dan sistem kasta dan atas upayanya dalam mendidik wanita dan menekan golongan kasta.
