Maurice Harold Macmillan was a British Conservative politician, publisher and Prime Minister (1957-63) of Great Britain. Macmillan was a member of the House of Commons from 1924 to 1929 and 1931 to 1964. He was colonial undersecretary (1942) and secretary of state for air (1945).
