The Richard Donner cut is a 2006 re-edited director's cut of the 1980 superhero film Superman II. It is a sequel to Richard Donner's 1978 film Superman, based on the DC Comics superhero of the same name, and stars Gene Hackman, Christopher Reeve, and Marlon Brando.

En 1977, se decidió filmar tanto Superman (1978) como Superman II de forma simultánea, con el rodaje a partir de marzo de 1977 y terminando en octubre de 1978. Surgieron tensiones entre Richard Donner y los productores en los que se tomó la decisión de detener la filmación de la secuela, de la cual ya se había completado el 75 por ciento, y finalizando la primera película.
