  1. The main college site is right in the heart of the city centre, but with easy access from the Backs to the department on the West Cambridge site. Clare is also strong in Natural Sciences and Engineering, providing excellent teaching support, as well as complementing your ongoing chemical engineering and biotechnology studies onwards.

The College also offers a range of grants and financial awards to our students, including book grants, travel grants, equipment expenses, and hardships grants and loans.

  3. Pembroke College is also very well situated in Cambridge for those who wish to study mathematics. All lectures for the first two years are held in lecture theatres close to the College, and the University bus service, that links the Centre of Mathematical Sciences ( www.maths.cam.ac.uk) with the city, has a stop directly outside the College.

  5. Natural Sciences at Pembroke. Pembroke is ideally situated - both geographically and in terms of personnel - for those reading Natural Sciences: the back and side gates of the College lead directly into the New Museums and Downing sites where most of the University biology laboratories are located.

  6. We admit one or two students per year to read Linguistics, to join our active and supportive subject communities in Modern and Medieval Languages, Anglo-Saxon Norse and Celtic, and English. Among Pembroke’s Fellows with particular interests in aspects of linguistics are: Dr Torsten Meissner - University Senior Lecturer in Greek Philology.
