It is a shame we cannot get an official U.S. release by the same company that produced original movies Fright Night I and II. There is an interesting, and harrowing, backstory behind Fright Night II, which makes me believe Fright Night II Blu-Ray release might not see the light of day. As consequence, we get what we can from this release.

Fright Night Part 2 was not given a huge release due to some unfortunate circumstances. This is what IMDB says about it: Soon after the filming was wrapped up, Roddy McDowall and Fright Night creator Tom Holland were scheduled to meet with Live Entertainment chairman Jose Menendez to discuss making a third film, but plans died with Menendez, who was infamously murdered by his sons.
