11 de jun. de 1972 · I absolutely love the 80s OVA’s as well as Devilman: Crybaby. Both are fantastic in their own ways, but I had never read the manga. At first my impressions were not great. Early on the art is rather basic and very flat to the point it’s very unappealing. Even for manga from the early 70’s the art is just a bit jarring.

Devilman by Go Nagai is a classic, and definitely a must read for anime/manga fans. This is an omnibus containing the first half of Devilman, and Shin Devilman near the end (a spin off where Akira, and Ryo travel back in time).
Devilman Saga (Japanese: デビルマンサーガ, Hepburn: Debiruman Sāga) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Go Nagai. It is part of the Devilman franchise created by Nagai. The manga ran in Shogakukan 's Big Comic from December 2014 to March 2020, with its chapters collected in thirteen tankōbon volumes.
Devilman deals with some pretty heavy stuff, while at the same time being a shonen series. It created the concept of the evil main character genre which is actually quite interesting. The manga is good but I like to think that DMCB is also a good reboot of the series for the newer generation, having a good modern revitalization compared to its 70s counterpart.
