Lily Langtry. Actress: His Neighbor's Wife. Lily Langtry was born on 13 October 1853 in Jersey, Channel Islands. She was an actress, known for His Neighbor's Wife (1913). She was married to Sir Hugo de Bathe, Edward Langtry and Frederick Gebhardt. She died on 12 February 1929 in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Thereafter, Lillie’s fame was assured and she was a huge hit across America including a town in Texas, Langtry, named after her by yet another admirer, Judge Roy Bean. In the 1882-1883 season she grossed between $100,000 and $150,000, an unheard of amount of money at the time.

A renowned beauty, she was nicknamed the "Jersey Lily" and had a number of prominent lovers, including the future king of England, Edward VII.
