I prefer this extended cut 2-disc dvd of Bugsy, which adds another 15 min. to perhaps an already lengthy film. The visionary / gangster's life is legendary however, and worthy of this epic presentation, which in it's theatrical version was nominated for 10 Oscars.

Wer die Ermordung des Mobsters Bugsy Siegel am 20. Juni 1947 tatsächlich in Auftrag gegeben hat, ist bis heute nicht einwandfrei geklärt. Neben seinen Jugendfreunden Lansky der in Barry Levinsons Film "Bugsy" von Ben Kingsley gespielt wird und dem Gangsterboss Luciano gab es noch weitere Mafiagrößen, die mit der Entwicklung des "Flamingo" Projekts äusserst unzufrieden waren.
