It is named the domestic pig when distinguishing it from other members of the genus Sus. It is considered a subspecies of Sus scrofa (the wild boar or Eurasian boar) by some authorities, but as a distinct species by others.

20 de may. de 2024 · In 1836 the Archdeaconry of Berkshire was transferred from the Diocese of Salisbury to Oxford. This comprises the county of Berkshire and parts of Wiltshire. By an Act of 1837 Buckinghamshire was notified of its transfer from the then Diocese of Lincoln, to become the Archdeaconry of Buckingham, effective from 1845.
