16 de may. de 2024 · Charles I gave the reserved fee-farm rent in 1637 to James Stuart, duke of Lennox (cr. duke of Richmond 1641). It was wrongly supposed in 1645 that the duke owned the manor. Wade (d. 1677) was succeeded by his infant daughter Elizabeth, who married her guardian, the rectorial lessee Matthew Kirby (d. 1721).

9 de may. de 2024 · James II (born October 14, 1633, London, England—died September 5/6 [September 16/17, New Style], 1701, Saint-Germain, France) was the king of England, Scotland, and Ireland from 1685 to 1688, and the last Stuart monarch in the direct male line. He was deposed in the Glorious Revolution (1688–89) and replaced by William III and Mary II.
