Zbigniew Herbert (Leópolis, 1924-Varsovia, 1998) estudió Derecho, Bellas Artes y Filosofía en la Universidad de Varsovia. Zbigniew Herbert urodził się 29 października 1924 r. we Lwowie, zmarł 28 lipca 1998 r. w Warszawie. Był poetą, eseistą i dramatopisarzem. Pierwszych dwadzieścia lat życia, w tym okres okupacji, spędził w rodzinnym, wielokulturowym Lwowie. Następnie ukończył studia ekonomiczne w Akademii Handlowej w Krakowie i prawnicze na Uniwersytecie Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu.
