Duchess Elisabeth of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (10 August 1869 – 3 September 1955) was a daughter of Frederick Francis II, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg by his third wife Princess Marie of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. By her marriage to Frederick Augustus II, she became the consort of the last reigning Grand Duke of Oldenburg.
Alexandrine von Preußen (1842–1906) genannt „Addy“ Prinzessin Friederike Wilhelmine Luise Elisabeth Alexandrine von Preußen 1. Februar 1842 in Berlin; † 26. März 1906 auf Schloss Marly in Potsdam) war ein Mitglied des Hauses Hohenzollern, wurde als zweite Tochter von Prinz Albrecht von Preußen und dessen Frau Marianne von Oranien-Nassau geboren.
Biography . Anna Elisabeth Auguste Alexandrine, Duchess of Mecklenburg-Schwerin was born on 7 April 1865 at Schwerin the only child of Friedrich Franz II, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and his second wife, Anna, Princess of Hesse and by the Rhine, who died 9 days later.

Born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1879, in the city of Schwerin, Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, now in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Alexandrine Auguste was the eldest daughter and the eldest of the three children of Friedrich Franz III, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Grand Duchess Anastasia Mikhailovna of Russia , a granddaughter of Nicholas I, Emperor of All Russia.

Alexandrine ('Addy') was the youngest child born to Prince Albert of Prussia and his first wife Princess Marianne of the Netherlands. She was named after her aunt (and later mother-in-law) the Grand Duchess of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. She had two elder surviving siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Albert.
