7 de nov. de 2022 · Maria Donata Nanetta Paulina Gustava Erwina Wilhelmine Stein, CBE (18 October 1926 – 6 March 2014), known as Marion Stein, and subsequently by marriage as Marion Lascelles, Countess of Harewood, and later Marion Thorpe, was an Austrian-born British concert pianist.
11 de oct. de 2023 · Three years after Caroline’s death, Thorpe married Marion Stein, a noted concert pianist and the divorced wife of the Queen’s first cousin, George Lascelles, the 7th Earl of Harewood. Marion had three sons from her previous marriage – David, the 8th Earl of Harewood, James and Jeremy.

They had one son, Mark, who was born on 5 July 1964, while the Earl was still married to his first wife, Marion Stein. This event was a society scandal, and resulted in the earl and his second wife being ostracised by the royal family for some years, although the Queen had given her consent to the marriage.
