The Most Serene Prince George Alexandrovich Yuryevsky graduated with honors from the Condorcet College, and received his higher education in the Sorbonne. In 1891, he received a bachelor's degree, returned to Russia and became a naval officer. For several years, George Yuryevsky served in the Baltic Fleet, and in 1908 retired due to illness.
Prince George Alexandrovich Yuryevsky (Russian: Гео́ргий Алекса́ндрович Ю́рьевский; 12 May 1872 [30 April 1872 O. S.] – 13 September 1913) was the natural son of Alexander II of Russia by his mistress (and later wife), Princess Catherine Dolgorukova.
