Etelredo II (en inglés: Æthelred the Unready; c. 968 - 23 de abril de 1016) fue rey de Inglaterra en los períodos de 978 - 1013 y 1014 - 1016. Su epíteto no proviene del inglés moderno unready sino del anglosajón Unræd, "malaconsejado", y se trata de un irónico juego de palabras con su nombre Æthelred, “bien aconsejado”.

Eadgifu of Kent, also Edgiva, (died August 25, 968) was the third wife of Edward the Elder, King of England. Eadgifu was the daughter of Sigehelm, Ealdorman of Kent (d. 903). She became the mother of two sons, Edmund, later King Edmund I, and Eadred, later King Eadred, and two daughters, Saint Eadburh of Winchester and Eadgifu.
