Thomas Mills High School was formed in September 1979 by the amalgamation of the Mills Grammar School and Framlingham Modern School. It is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school and on 1st June 2011 became a state maintained Academy in response to the Department for Education’s invitation to Outstanding Schools.

Thomas Mills High School is a flourishing state-funded high school situated in the historic market town of Framlingham. It is consistently one of Suffolk’s highest performing 11-18 schools with many distinctive features. The school is an all-round place of learning with one prospective parent capturing that ‘it’s cool to learn here.’
