13 de sept. de 2016 · Presumably, Elvis' decision to have The Sweet Inspirations join him as part of his band must have been based partly on the strength of this album. No wonder that he used to have them open his concerts. By the way, I'm writing this with the album playing away. Really, really, like it. Really, really recommend it.
The Sweet Inspirations è stato gruppo musicale vocale statunitense femminile in attività negli anni sessanta . Il gruppo era formato da Emily "Cissy" Houston (madre di Whitney ), Dee Dee Warwick, Dionne Warwick e Doris Left, queste ultime due poi sostituite da Sylvia Shemwell e Myrna Smith. In seguito entrerà nel gruppo anche Estelle Brown.

Myrna Yvonne Smith (May 28, 1941 – December 24, 2010) [1] was an American songwriter and singer. Smith became a high school English teacher in South Brunswick, New Jersey in the 1960s, while she also pursued her singing career. She was an original member of Dionne Warwick's Gospelaires group which later evolved into the Sweet Inspirations.
