"The Informers" trifft den kalten und gefühlsarmen Stil von Ellis Romanen, z.T. besser als es die Verfilmung von "Rules of Attraction" geschafft hat. Die Figuren, das Set, das alles unterstreicht die Vorlage. Die aber eine Kurzgeschichtensammlung war, was man dem Film manchmal anmerkt. Und bei manchen Details haben sie den Roman entschärft.
