There are two excellent books on the Alden homesite. Pilgrim John Alden's Progress: Archaeological Excavations in Duxbury by Roland Wells Robbins focuses on examining the remains of the no-longer-standing house of 1627.

No birth records for any of the Alden children survive, but from the death record of Elizabeth Alden it appears she was born about 1624-5 and was the eldest child.   6. Priscilla is last recorded in 1650, but oral records say she died only a few years before her husband. Priscilla (Mullins) Alden died at Duxbury, Plymouth, Massachusetts about 1685. John Alden and Priscilla Alden's grave is in Miles Standish Burial Ground at Duxbury. Exact burial locations within the cemetery have been lost to time.

  7. John Alden served in many public service capacities over the years, including assistant to the Governor and twice as Deputy Governor. Priscilla died in about 1685. John died on 12 September 1687, the LAST survivor of those who signed the Mayflower Compact. John Alden had settled with the Pilgrims in Plymouth Colony, though not a pilgrim himself.
