The founding school – Downe House UK. Families from all over the world send their children to Downe House UK. The school has created a global network of over 3,000 women of whom many are well-known world figures, including Lady Gabriella Windsor, Dame Alice Rosemary Murray (the first, female Vice Chancellor of Cambridge University) and members of the Saudi, Malaysian and Belgian royal families.
Downe House was founded as 'a school where every individual within the community matters', and we hold true to this ethos today. We work in partnership with parents to ensure that every Downe House pupil leaves school with a lifelong intellectual curiosity, the confidence, skills, and know-how to be successful and to face life's challenges, and a steadfast place in a lively school community.
We usually hold two Open Mornings each term and a number of virtual events each year, and we do have a limit on the number of families who can attend. About us. Downe House Muscat is the first premium, all-girls’ British school to open in Oman. It is exclusively for girls from Grade 4 to Grade 12, and from August 2024 will welcome pupils from Grades 1 to 3. Explore.

Girls can use the extra hours they accrue by not having to travel to all their activities to deep their expertise and expand their skills and interests.
