1 de nov. de 2006 · This band is an early incarnation of The Specials, and you can tell they haven't yet developed their signature sound. Terry is singing in a deep voice, almost unrecognizable, and the band as a whole hasn't found that amazing upbeat hybrid of old-school ska and punk that made them the hit they were.

The Specials. The Specials é uma banda britânica de new wave e ska formada na cidade de Coventry, em 1977. Eles misturavam elementos do mod e do ska e criaram um novo som que se tornaria conhecido como 2 tone. [ 1][ 2] Eles ficaram famosos por singles como "Ghost Town", "Too Much Too Young" e sua estréia com "Gangsters" .
Dawning of a New Era is an album credited to "The Coventry Automatics AKA The Specials", first released in 1993. The album is a collection of demo recordings from 1978, when the band was still known as "The Automatics". They would shortly rename themselves "The Coventry Automatics" before eventually becoming "The Specials".
