Add the diced carrot and celery, along with the reserved onions and mushrooms to the pot. Continue to cook until the rice and vegetables are tender, about 15-20 minutes. Add the duck meat and the thyme.

It represents a turning point in their movie work; it was their last film for Paramount, and the last in which all of the scenes directly involved the brothers.

Along with separating what meat there is from the bone and then discarding the carcass. Add the duck meat from the carcass back to the pot with the stock.

Set them in a roasting pan and grind some black pepper over them. Roast for 15 minutes and then turn off the heat. Let the mushrooms continue to roast as you do other things.
