The role of a Headmaster's wife is vitally important in a boarding community such as ours. Sandroyd is, at its core, a family boarding school. We joined the school in September 2016 with our two young daughters, Hattie and Isla, and have since become part of a wider family that consists of over 200 boys and girls.
We were inspected in February 2023when the ISI carried out a Focused Compliance and Educational Quality Inspection. The report praised the excellent quality of both the education and the pastoral care at Sandroyd. Sandroyd is a registered Pony Club Centre and a licensed riding school . We are members of the NSEA (National Schools Equestrian Association) and our pupils regularly compete at the qualifying competitions and have qualified for the Championships for the last few years. On Sunday 7th July 2019 we have a wonderful gathering of Old Sandroydians in celebration of the Sandroyd Alumni. Children are welcome to board at Sandroyd from the age of 7 when they join year 3. However, we tend to have more boarders as we go up through the school. All of our year 7 and 8 boarders are expected to board five nights a week at Sandroyd. What is an “Exeat” weekend? Exeat weekends are when the school closes for the weekend.
Sandroyd is a co-educational boarding and day school in wiltshire for children aged 2-13 At Sandroyd the boys and girls are given plenty of opportunity to play and enjoy a wide variety of sports.While some relish the more traditional team games, others may opt for more individual pursuits.Whatever their preference, our aim is to encourage each child to find a way to enjoy sport and exercise.
