I was attending a conference held in the Fitzwilliam College and also stayed there for three nights. The room was pretty basic and kind of run-down but still clean and relatively spacey. The staff was really very friendly and helpful.There are a few city buses which will take you to the city center and if you want to walk, it's about 15-20 minutes.
Fitzwilliam College has a long-standing commitment to promoting access to higher education, going back to its foundation in 1869 as a non-collegiate institution known as Fitzwilliam Hall. The college was created to allow students to study at the University of Cambridge without paying the expensive fees required to be a member of a college, making education accessible to all.

The Coffee Shop serves breakfast until 10.30 every day during Term and has a range of hot and cold snacks and drinks available throughout the day. It's a great environment for relaxed study and socialising and is open to the whole College community and the public. Opening Hours.
