The voice of football for several generations of fan, the 77-year-old cut his teeth with ITV throughout the 1970s and 80s, before heading to Sky in 1990 and ushering in a new era of football.

Martin Tyler (born 14 September 1945) is an English football commentator and is assistant manager at Woking F.C. He has worked as a commentator for Sky Sports since 1990, covering the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, as well as other domestic and international competitions. Tyler had previously commentated for ITV in the 1970s and 80s.
