11 de mar. de 2015 · More than thirty years after his death in 1977, Roberto Rossellini is remembered by your average film buff as the father of Italian neorealism (Rome, Open City, 1945; Paisan, 1946; Germany Year Zero, 1948) and of actress and model Isabella Rossellini, one of his three children with Ingrid Bergman, with whom he conducted a notorious affair before their seven-year marriage in the 1950s.

Roberto Rossellini (8. toukokuuta 1906 Rooma, Italia – 3. kesäkuuta 1977 Rooma) oli italialainen elokuvaohjaaja ja käsikirjoittaja. Hän oli Vittorio de Sican ohella keskeinen neorealismin tyylisuunnan kehittäjä. Rosselini aloitti uransa fasismin kaudella ja ohjasi ensimmäisen pitkän näytelmäelokuvansa vuonna 1941.
