General Rowland Hill, 1st Viscount Hill, GCB GCH (11 August 1772 – 10 December 1842) was a British army officer who served in the Napoleonic Wars as a trusted brigade, division and corps commander under the command of the Duke of Wellington. He became Commander-in-Chief of the British Army in 1828.

Rowland Hill (11 August 1772 – 10 December 1842) was a general of Great Britain. Rowland Hill was commissioned into the 38th Regiment of Foot in 1790 and fought in the Siege of Toulon in 1793. In 1800 he fought in the Second Battle of Aboukir when the British landed in Egypt, and was wounded when a musketball hit his head.
