Frederick John Robinson (Londen, 1 november 1782 - aldaar, 28 januari 1859), 1e graaf van Ripon, was een Brits Tory-politicus. Levensloop. Hij was de tweede van drie zoons van Thomas Robinson, de tweede baron van Grantham , en Lady Mary Jemima Grey Yorke.
Frederick Robinson was born on 30 October 1782 in London. He was the second of three sons born to Thomas Robinson, second Baron Grantham, and his wife Lady Mary Jemima Grey Yorke. He was educated at Sunbury; between 1796 and 1799 he attended Harrow and then he was admitted to St. John's College, Cambridge.

Frederick John Robinson, 1st Earl of Ripon PC FRC (1 November 1782 – 28 January 1859), styled The Honourable F. J. Robinson until 1827 and known between 1827 and 1833 as The Viscount Goderich, the name by which he is best known to history, was a British politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 31 August 1827 until 8 January 1828.

Educated at Harrow and St John's College, Oxford, Goderich entered Lincoln's Inn in 1802 but was never called to the bar. In 1806 he sat as a moderate Tory for Carlow and a year later for Ripon, a seat he held for over twenty years.
