King Ludwig III was the last King of Bavaria, reigning from November 1913 until November 1918. He was born Prince Ludwig Luitpold Josef Maria Aloys Alfried on January 7, 1845, in Munich, Kingdom of Bavaria, now in Bavaria, Germany, the eldest son of Prince Luitpold of Bavaria and Archduchess Augusta of Austria. He had three younger siblings:

William’s grandfather, William Ludwig Sr. started Ludwig & Ludwig along with his brother Theobold in 1909. From that time, the company and family name has had quite the journey.
