Este volumen recoge tres trabajos que Kripke presentó en conferencias. El autor ofrece una reconstrucción original de la argumentación wittgensteiniana en torno a la noción de seguir una regla y sus aplicaciones a la experiencia, los estados de conciencia, etc. Trata también sobre el lenguaje privado y la posición de Wittgenstein sobre el problema de las otras mentes.

Saul Kripke, in his celebrated book Wittgenstein on Rules and Private Language (1982), offers a novel reading of Ludwig Wittgenstein ’s main remarks in his later works, especially in Philosophical Investigations (1953) and, to some extent, in Remarks on the Foundations of Mathematics (1956).

Saul Kripke was a member of the Department of Philosophy 1977-1998. The author of Naming and Necessity and Wittgenstein on Rules and Private Language, he is currently Distinguished Professor at CUNY Graduate Center.
