CAPPA, Benedetta. Luce Marinetti Barbi. Nacque a Roma, seconda di cinque figli, il 14 ag. 1897 da Innocenzo, ufficiale di carriera, piemontese, e da Amalia Cipoffina, di confessione valdese. Iniziò giovanissima a scrivere poesie e a dipingere. Maestra giardiniera saltuariamente e per breve tempo, creava oggetti didattici per i bambini.

Benedetta, geboren als Benedetta Cappa, vanaf 1923 Benedetta Marinetti geheten (Rome, 14 augustus 1897 – Venetië, 15 mei 1977), was een Italiaans schilderes en schrijfster van het futurisme. Levensloop. Benedetta Cappa begon al op jonge leeftijd met het schrijven van gedichten en het maken van schilderijen.
Benedetta, a painter and author of words-in-freedom poetry and experimental novels, was a major proponent of the later phase of the movement, known as Second Futurism. Born into an intellectual family in Rome, she was immersed in the Futurist milieu from a young age: she was friends with the artist Růžena Zátková, studied with Giacomo Balla, and later married F. T. Marinetti.
