Sarah Koenig (/ ˈ k eɪ n ɪ ɡ /; born July 9, 1969, in New York City) is an American journalist, public radio personality, former producer of the television and radio program This American Life, and the host and executive producer of the podcast Serial.
Background. In the liner notes on the original LP release, Shaw told writer Nat Hentoff that the album came about when John Koenig, son of Contemporary Records owner Lester Koenig, saw Shaw playing with Joe Henderson at the Lighthouse Café in late September, 1970, while Henderson was recording his album If You're Not Part of the Solution, You're Part of the Problem.

Koenig worked with William Wyler on such films as the 1953 romantic comedy Roman Holiday , starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck.
