Hail Caesar fails on every metric used to measure a good movie. It is destined to become a "classic bad movie" to be watched with contempt by future students of the movies. A great cast, great directors, high production values, and abundance of immense talent, does not amount to a hill of beans without "a good story well told".

Hail, Caesar! 2016 ★★★★★ Added Listing everything this movie is "about" would be an exercise in absurdity (although that's kind of fitting, considering that most of--if not all of--the Coens' movies are exercises in absurdity). Need more time to digest this, but it's genius.
