Consider the following tips when writing a second person narrative: Avoid repetitive language and overusing the second-person pronoun “you.” It may help to break up some of the text with the imperative form—that is, instructing the reader to take the next step in the story. For example:
A formal letter will be written to somebody in authority, such as a headteacher, a manager or the editor of a newspaper.
