Anna Eleanor Roosevelt was an American writer who worked as a newspaper editor and in public relations.
They had one son, John Roosevelt Boettiger, born 30 March 1939, and divorced in 1949. After two difficult marriages, she settled in upstate New York with her third husband Dr. James Halsted, where she lived quietly (by Roosevelt standards).
