26 de abr. de 2024 · The last silent Tarzan movie, Tarzan the Tiger (1929), was dubbed over with sound before its release, but it is still typically lumped in with the others since it was initially filmed without sound. For the Tarzan silent movies, the first one — Tarzan of the Apes — was based on Edgar Burroughs's first novel.

It was the "dark" comunism time, when during Saturdays, during lunch time, we had like 30 mins of "speacial treat": few minutes played from a good movie. Decades, after moving in Canada, in July 2009, I have discovered these movies with Tarzan, grouped under 2 volumes.

He later played Tarzan in a series of movies in the 1930s and became a movie star. This made him a character actor. He then had trouble getting parts in other movies because of this. Death. On January 20, 1984, Weissmuller died of pulmonary edema. He was 79. He was buried in Acapulco, Mexico, where he was living when he died.
