Contexto Nancy Kerrigan en 1995. Nancy Kerrigan, destacada figura del patinaje artístico, tenía previsto participar en enero de 1994 en el Campeonato de Estados Unidos, el cual se iba a celebrar en Detroit, siendo su principal rival Tonya Harding, otra destacada figura del patinaje, famosa por ser la primera estadounidense en ejecutar un triple axel.
