According to the fan theory by Rhino Stew, "Snowpiercer" is actually a sequel to the 1971 film "Willy Wonka in the Chocolate Factory". The theory states that Wilford (or Wilford Wonka in this case) is actually Charlie Bucket who has inherited the role of Willy Wonka.
This is to make Snowpiercer feel more like a post-apocalyptic sequel to Willy Wonka as originally theorized by Rhino Stew. Based on the popular "Wonkapiercer" fan theory by Rhino Stew, the "Willy Wonka Cut" of Snowpiercer sets to link the film closer to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971) by utilizing leitmotifs (particularly "Pure Imagination") and flashbacks from that film.
