Sus patas posteriores son cortas, las delanteras poseen 5 dígitos y las traseras de cuatro a cinco. Tiene cojinetes en ellas, los cuales están cubiertos de pelo (Cervantes et al., 1990) . Existen diversas característica muy particulares que distinguen a la especie. Una de ellas corresponde a sus orejas, que son pequeñas y redondas.
