3 de sept. de 2022 · Adolf Hitler, synonymous with evil, was born NOT in Germany, but in Braunau am Inn, Austria. Granted, Braunau is a 5 minute walk to the German border, but Hitler was Austrian nonetheless. He was born in the building pictured and lived there until the age of 3. His parents rented space there, as it was a guest house at the time.
Braunau am Inn is a town in the Innviertel region of Upper Austria (Oberösterreich), the north-western state of Austria. It lies about 90 km west of Linz and about 60 km north of Salzburg, on the border with the German state of Bavaria. It has a continental climate ( Dfa in the Koeppen climate classification ). The population in 2001 was 16,372.
Braunau am Inn liegt im Innviertel auf 352 m Höhe, etwa 15 km östlich des Zusammenflusses von Inn und Salzach . Die geografische Ausdehnung beträgt 7,8 km von Nord nach Süd, sowie 9,1 km von West nach Ost. Braunau am Inn. Haus Berta is located in Braunau am Inn, a 4-minute drive from the centre and 100 metres from the bicycle trails. Free WiFi and free public parking are available. Rooms were renovated in 2015 and some newly built in 2016. They all come with a flat-screen satellite TV and a bathroom with a shower.
