Joining Trinity College Choir is one of the most exciting and rewarding things you can do in your time at the University. The Choir provides a wonderful social environment of friends from different subjects and years.

Recorded 11-13 July 2022. Released January 2024. A sequel to the Choir’s acclaimed 2010 release of David Briggs’s > Mass for Notre Dame, this recording sees the composer and Stephen Layton revelling in the acoustic possibilities of the vast Église Saint-Eustache in Paris.

At its heart are the iconic Three Motets, written at the end of Stanford’s tenure as organist of Trinity College for his successor, Alan Gray.
Trinity College’s magnificent mechanical-action Metzler organ is regarded as one of the finest instruments of its kind in the United Kingdom. The original instrument was built by the famous ‘Father’ Smith in 1694 and 1706; the present organ was completed by the Swiss firm Metzler und Söhne in 1976 based on the Smith’s surviving pipework and within its original cases.
