22 de may. de 2024 · In 1713 she had married Algernon, 7th Duke of Somerset, who died in 1750. The duchess died on 7th July, 1754, at No. 14, Downing Street. (fn. n13) The house was taken in the same year by the Earl of Kildare. James Fitzgerald, afterwards 1st Duke of Leinster, son of Robert, 19th Earl of Kildare, was born in 1722.
Hace 2 días · His widow Anne, duchess of Somerset (d. 1587), presented in 1554, but the advowson, unlike the manor, apparently did not pass to Seymour's son, and in 1581 the patron was Sir Richard Kingsmill. In 1614 and 1633 the king exercised the patronage, but on the first occasion merely confirmed Kingsmill's presentation.
