It has identified science, technology and innovation as a sector where it can have a meaningful impact to support regional economic growth.
20 de may. de 2024 · Crown Estate Scotland today announced a GBP-50,000 (USD 67,600/EUR 56,600) study to evaluate the potential economic benefits of further developing the Scottish floating wind industry. The idea is that Scotland could play a major part in the development of floating wind, with local companies creating jobs in engineering, maintenance and other spheres, and eventually expanding abroad.
21 de may. de 2024 · Partnering with various organisations, the Crown Estate is developing an integrated, spatial analysis platform which is expected to be completed in 2025. Gus Jaspert, managing director, Marine, at the Crown Estate, explained that a coordinated approach is needed to maximise the potential of the seabed to support vital industries, net zero and nature recovery.

24 de may. de 2024 · The UK Crown Estate is working on the design of a new leasing round for early commercial-scale floating wind power projects of up to 300 MW in the Celtic Sea. The initiative comes on the heels of the government agency's call from December that sought public input on the best approaches for accelerating the development of the country’s floating wind segment.
