15 de may. de 2024 · In 1258, Hulagu captured Baghdad, and the last Caliphate of the Abbasid Dynasty of the Arab Empire was destroyed and killed, and then the Mongolian army took advantage of the situation to occupy Syria. In 1260, Hulagu's troops hit Egypt.
