Nació en el Palacio de Valsaín en agosto de 1566, la pareja tuvo otro hija, Catalina Micaela, nacida al año siguiente. Ambas hermanas se quedaron huérfanas de madre cuando, en 1568, falleció al dar a luz a su tercer hijo.
