And usually more feminine. USA has great actresses in terms of pure technical skill (Hepburn, Davis, Crawford, Stanwyck, etc etc etc) but they often leave me cold in a 'visceral' sense. They're often too pale, or too spindly. Can't hardly compare to Garbo, Dietrich, Cardinale, Monica Vitti, Anouk Aimie, Verna Lissi, Gina Lollobrigida, Sophia Loren.
