The glowing impression that Dalí engraved into the art world with this piece led to him becoming an official member of the 20th century surrealist movement. The piece is breathtakingly busy.

She was a unique character herself and was able to deal with his eccentricities. She was born as Elena Ivanovna Diakonova in the Russian Empire in 1894, around a decade before Salvador arrived in Northern Spain.
